Project Hope gives Mexican families a helping hand to survive their difficult living conditions. When you support any one of the following programs, you give each family Amor touches a chance for a better future. If you have any questions regarding the programs of Project Hope, please feel free to contact Melissa at ext 130.
In Mexico, public education is not free. Many parents not only pay a school fee and purchase uniforms, but are also required to provide all the necessary school supplies for each of their children. This is often a burden on a family who only earns roughly $30 a week.
Its hard to plan for the future when you are hungry today. Each month our Pastors meet parents who are struggling to meet the needs of their kids. It costs approximately $100 to feed a typical family for a month. Help provide a family in need with food for a month!
Our Pastors have a heart to share the gospel with everyone they minister too. By equipping Pastors with Bibles they can always be ready to share. Our Pastors are frequently requesting additional Bibles to minister in the areas they work.
When winter sets in, many families living in Mexico, struggle to keep their children and themselves warm and healthy. Our Pastors appreciate having blankets available to give out because it is a frequent and easy to meet need.
Contaminated water is the number one cause of preventable deaths in the world. Giving a water filter to a family in need keeps them healthy, happy, and able to concentrate on building a future.
Through generous donations to the programs of Project Hope, in 2013 we were able to provide much needed supplies to families in need. Check out the numbers:
312 families were provided with emergency food through the food bank.
2,560 children were provided with a backpack full of school supplies through Back to School.
1,847 new Bibles were given to new and growing Christians by our Mexico Pastors.
1,500 blankets were distributed to help keep families warm during the harsh winter.
Ad-vo-cate (verb) - Publically recommend or support, defend, uphold, protect, or champion. Every cause needs people who spread the word, start conversations, and cause people to believe that they can make a difference. Advocate for families in need year round with some of the ideas below.
Never underestimate the power of prayer. You can keep up to date on the prayer requests from our local pastors meetings, and read stories from staff and participants on our blog.
You could also organize a group prayer time and tell us about the experience!
