Nick Rawson
Year-Long Intern
I first came on an Amor trip in 2003 as a high school student, and I was a Project Nexus intern in 2008. I knew very soon after my summer was over that I wanted to come back to Amor in some manner. My background is primarily in youth ministry as I volunteered with a youth group throughout my college years and spent this last year as a youth intern with my home church. The relationships I formed during that time are some of the most important in my life and I know that is where God wanted me to be, but I have also felt him pushing me towards some form of service to the poor. My Nexus summer showed me a glimpse of what that kind of service can look like and I was excited to see more, so I applied for a year long internship. Ultimately, however, I want to treat this year, as with everything else in life, as a learning experience so that I can live more the way God wants me to live and do more of what he would have me do.
