Internships and Field Volunteers

Come and be involved with Amor through volunteer and intern programs that support mission trips in a variety of ways both short and long term.

Seasonal Field Volunteer (Spring, 2-6 Weeks)

Amor is looking for experienced trip coordinators, volunteers, and work site leaders to join our seasonal volunteer team. Seasonal volunteers come and serve with Amor during our busy spring and summer seasons, giving 2-6 weeks of their time to be representative of Amor and a resource to our groups. Learn More

Project Barnabas (1-5 Weeks)

The Project Barnabas team member is modeled after Barnabas in the Bible, whose name meant Son of Encouragement. The primary role of a Project Barnabas team member is to walk alongside others and serve wherever and whenever needed. Most of the roles that a Project Barnabas team member fills during our busy spring season are behind the scenes, absolutely necessary, and service-oriented.  Amor Ministries and the groups we serve have many different needs during this time, and Project Barnabas team members work to meet all of them. Opportunities for service through Project Barnabas include: meal preparation and service for groups using Amor's La Cocina program, organization and set up of camp sites and tools through our operations team, and serving as an Amor representative to a group building a home on a work site. Learn More

Project Nexus (May 27th - August 5th)

This is where you will receive a hands-on, get dirty, get involved, ministry experience in a team setting. You will experience a summer in full-time ministry with all its joys, heartaches, and challenges while learning from the experiences, training, and teaching of our seasoned ministry team.  Each week, you will assist the Amor Team with building projects and programs, and serve the groups as well as the churches and families Amor serves in Mexico.  Time off will be spent on team development, cultural experiences, and much needed rest and relaxation. Year-Long Internship

The Amor Ministries internship is a year-long experience that creates exposure to the various aspects of missions, Amor in particular.  You will be immersed in a program tailored to your own interests within the variety of existing programs available to and within Amor. Learn More

San Carlos Field Volunteer (At least 1 week during summer)

An Amor Ministries Field Volunteer supports the Amor Ministries Team Members on the worksite and at Amor Ministries camp. Amor is looking for individuals with construction experience, as well as those who may not have construction experience but have the heart to serve. You will be a representative of Amor Ministries and a vital part of our work in the field. Learn More

Camp Host Volunteer (1-3 months)

Do you have a heart to make our participants feel welcome and a chunk of time that you can give to serve the Ministry? Amor Camp Hosts live at our campgrounds in Mexico and Globe, AZ. They serve our groups and volunteers that have come to build homes. The Camp Hosts greet and place groups when they arrive, ensure camp safety policies are followed, interact with participants through the Amor Store, assist with emergencies, if necessary, conduct maintenance and organization of the campgrounds and assets, assist with encouragement and logistics for other volunteer programs, and be ambassadors for Amor to each participant.
