Fundraising Resources
Looking for ways to serve beyond the Amor Mission Trip? The sky is the limit, but here are just a few suggestions to get you started. Feel free to use your imagination and create your own.
Hold a Backpack Drive
In Mexico, public education is not free. Many parents not only pay a school fee and purchase uniforms, but are also required to provide all the necessary school supplies for each of their children. This is often a burden for a family who only earns roughly $30 a week.
Raise Funds for Project Hope: Hunger No More
$100 provides each Pastor on the Mexico Ministry Planning Board with a stipend to meet the food needs of their own families and of those within their churches. Imagine the impact if we could provide more! Amor’s monthly goal for Project Hope: Hunger No More isto provide $3,000 per month’s worth of food for the Mexican Pastors to feed their families and distribute to hungry families in the Tijuana, Tecate, Rosarito, Puerto Peñasco, and Ciudad Juarez neighborhoods. Help extend the Church’s arms and feed the hungry.
Raise Funds to Build an Entire House
You can provide the dollars needed to purchase the materials that are used to build each quality home for a Mexican family in need. Each year, Amor Ministries aims to provide more than 1,000 new homes for Mexican families. Using a network of local Mexican churches and pastors, Amor brings together parties from both sides of the border to achieve its mission. These homes are constructed by locals building for locals, moving the poorest communities toward self-reliance.
Raise Funds to Purchase Water Filters
Supply families with a source of clean, drinkable water through the purchase of a simple and effective water filtration system. For $100, you can provide a family with one water filter, bucket, and maintenance class! A water filter can completely reshape the daily life and future of a Mexican family. Amor distributes the Sawyer Point One Filter, which cleans five gallons of water in 13 minutes and has a one million-gallon guarantee. It is effective, efficient, easy to set up, maintain, and use. Most importantly, its simple design is appropriate for the environment and accepted by the Mexican people.
Hold a Clothing and Blanket Drive
When winter sets in, many families living in Tijuana, Juarez, Tecate, and Rosarito, Mexico find themselves not only in need of adequate shelter, but also struggling to keep their children and themselves warm and healthy. Winter Relief aims to address these struggles.
