One Girl Mexico
You’ve read the book. You’ve been to the retreat. Now, it’s time to get your work boots on! One Girl Can Change the World was written to convince you that you were created to impact the world in a way that only you can. In it, we tell a story about “Getting Your Shoes On.” When we “get our shoes on,” as Peter did in Acts 12, then God will perform the miracle.
Get your work boots on and come with us to Mexico June 23-30, 2012 to touch the lives of needy families while developing everlasting bonds with Christian girls from age 9 to 99!
Come alone or with your friend, your sister, your cousin, your mom, your aunt, your grandmother, or your mentor!
Come build a house for a needy family, participate in outreach programs, learn about Mexican culture, worship under the stars, and make lifelong friends of all ages!
Come prepared to be stretched by God physically, mentally and spiritually!
Come ready to Change the World!

What to Expect
An exciting week is planned for you! Not only will you work all day to build a house for a needy Mexican family, you will also take part in different outreach programs in the community, led by Amy Mathis (17-year veteran and co-dean of Mexico Family Camp).
A tent city surrounds our large gathering tent where everyone enjoys incredible Mexican meals created by local women, worshiping under the stars, talks by girls of various ages and experiences (including by Amor’s co-founder, Gayla Congdon), and special surprises.
We will take “showers” out of buckets, and use outhouses. No electricity is available, so we won’t be straightening or curling our hair. For cultural sensitivity reasons, we won’t be wearing makeup. We will touch the lives of Mexican families while developing everlasting bonds between generations of Christian women. We will be stretched physically, mentally and spiritually.
