Our Project Nexus Interns have been in the field for a couple of weeks already. It's always fascinating to see the growth that happens as the summer progresses.
This is an update from Madison, one of this year's Project Nexus Interns:
Time is passing so quickly! Its crazy to think that I have been in Mexico for seven weeks now! Every moment I spend here I cherish, and am experiencing so much.
Two weeks ago I had a group from Northern California, they were small but powerful! In both their strength and their faith!
It was another incredible experience of watching a group take this trip to another level. They witnessed to so many people that passed by which ultimately led to two lives being given to the Lord. Such a cool experience for the group members who had this connection with some neighbors. They finished strong and I was so proud of them!

This past week I was blessed to be paired with a youth group from right outside LA. They rocked it! Such a lively group. I had the opportunity to talk and get to know a lot of individuals throughout the week, and play some fun games with them at campfires!
Toward the end of the week, a few of them joked about having a “Mexico Prom,” well what began as a joke turned into a huge event! It was so cool to see this youth group bring so many people in camp together. They set up check-in tables, had “guards,” a picture area, and music playing from a car.
My home away from home
To be honest it was just a huge fun time for everyone to come together and socialize! We had a group from the UK in camp this week, they also came. It was amazing to see something so silly, become so awesome. Everyone had a lot of fun and really enjoyed their time! I have lots of videos that I’ll post soon!
This next week is going to be awesome! I’m assigned to a group called New Providence Church. They are a yearly group that comes down for three weeks at a time, and I’m excited to work with them throughout this week.
Thank you for all the support and love! God is doing so much work throughout our participants, and in my personal life as well.
I stole this quote from a prior Nexus, but I think its fantastic!
“Don’t doubt in the darkness, what you clearly saw in the light.”
