Family and Personal Mission Statement - December 1

November 30, 2013 by Andy Lyde

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. Matt 12:25 (NIV)

Each year as we enter the holiday season, it's common to commit to connecting with Jesus and each other more deeply. And most years we come up short. On this first day of advent, heed the words in this passage from Matthew. Take this evening to sit down as a family and commit to going through this season of advent together. This journey will be more difficult if you are not united in this quest. Pray about what you want to get out of this season together; write it down so that you can go back to it throughout the next 24 days and remember what you have committed too.

How did We Draft Our Family Mission Statement from Amor Ministries on Vimeo.

We will welcome others into our home and lives sharing what we have and who we are.
We will seek justice in our own actions and work for the justice of others.
We will be kind to others and reflect the value God has given to each person.
We will joyfully live a life of thankfulness, abundantly in God's love.
