The Amor 3 Day program is designed for individuals and groups to make going on a mission trip as easy as possible; it’s a ‘turn-key’ trip. Amor takes care of all the logistics of putting on a life-changing mission experience; you just need to show up! The program was developed with a few different types of participants in mind but is open to all. Some examples of past participants are...
- Smaller groups that find the logistics of putting their own trip together overwhelming or not feasible.
- Individuals looking to join other like-minded people to build a home for a family while meeting new friends and making life-long friendships.
- Trip leaders looking to gain first-hand experience and credibility before leading an Amor trip of their own.
- Individuals who have previously come with a group and want to serve again before their group returns the next year.
Once you arrive at the Amor office, we take care of the rest. Tools, materials, food, work-site leadership, tents, and transportation are all included. There are also evening speakers from the Amor staff and community leaders. You’ll hear about the history of Amor and how your service impacts the families and communities where you are working.
Trips are three days long, (clever, eh?) and typically start on Saturday and end Monday. In Mexico, the slab is already poured so we can complete an entire home for a family in record time. No, that is not cheating.
There are several trips scheduled throughout the year, and there is no maximum number of people that can participate in a given trip. The trip is open to any age. An adult must accompany minors.
If you can put together a group of at least 12 people, we can arrange a trip on almost any date you chose beyond the suggested dates below. The Amor 3 Day is an excellent option for smaller youth groups, Men’s groups, Women’s groups, and home Bible study groups.
